The good outweighs what he needs to work on by a landslide.

He essentially lives at the Wild Card gym. He's there all the time, and with Freddy watching out for him I think they'll take care of the growth he needs to do in those areas.

Hopefully Goldenboy will be good to him and bring him along at a propper pace.

If that all falls into place he's got the tools to be a great fighter.

Hopefully, they should treat him like a project, not just another cash cow. Top Rank's management of a young prospect named Miguel Cotto comes to mind, some criticize that he's bein overprotected, but look where he's at now.

At 19 the guy has an awesome boxing skills incomparable to other fighters at that age. He has power in both hands, decent speed. footwork, timing and most of all confidence. All the ingredience to be a great fighter, a world champion. In an old thread here in this forum I cited him as my most promising prospect.

He is lucky because he's got Roach training him this early in his career and I don't see him going anywhere but to make progress and improvement every future fight.

But as to how far he can go in terms of stature, that only time will tell.

He needs far more ring experience before he locks horn with the big names in his present division because there's no better teacher and there's no substitute for experience.

i don't mind seeing Boom Boom fight for a championship early ... whatever outcome it may be ...

he is young a loss even by a KO would be more of a learning experience for Rey to make him tougher ...

Yeah...everybody should have a least 2 losses early in their career to achieve Pacman status.

nowadays I am not really impressed by undefeated fighters ...

and i guess your right chups to accomplish pacman status a fighter must be reborn a few times like a phoenix ....

after each loss comes out better/stronger everytime ...

i dont think he needs 2 losses to make him tougher hahahahaha!!!!! thats aint gonna happen unless he fight w/o dicsipline, or he get overconfident w/ his opponents. MAB had 43 - 0 before jr. jones

They should follow a similar fight plan Miguel Cotto has been using. Slowly build up his level of competition just enough to push his experience to a higher level. Nothing too extreme like when young El Feroz Vargas took on Tito Trinidad.

As a Trinidad fan, I don't even like watching that fight. Too much too soon for the younger lion.
