Dirty fighters, thats easy.
1. Joel Casamayor: The most skilled dirty fighter since Eusebio Pedroza.
2. Bernard Hopkins: Him and Harry Greb have more in common than their weight.
3. Ricky Hatton: OMFG!
4. Felix Trinidad: WTF?!!!Comment

Let me just say this because a lot of you raised some very good points. First off, whoever mentioned Joel Casamayor, you were right on the money, man. Casamayor is a ridiculously dirty fighter in that ring. But here's something else to consider. When Casamayor fought Castillo, Castillo made CASAMAYOR look like a relatively straight up fighter the way Jose Luis fought that night. They were both dirty, but come on, Castillo is probably the dirtiest in the game right now. What's worse is he makes no attempt to hide what he does like Hopkins, Casamayor, etc do. Castillo hits you low or holds and hits as if it's within the rules, and that's why he's very unacceptable.
This is not the same thing as what Ricky Hatton does. A lot of people claim Hatton is dirty because Hatton wrestles a lot, but hardly ever does Hatton hold and hit. It's the reverse with him, much like Wlad Klitschko, although they do it for very different reasons. Hatton hits and grabs on OR he wrestles, releases, and punches, which are both within the rules as long as you don't hold excessively. If Ruiz can get away with 15-17 clinches a round, you can't dock Hatton and Wlad for doing it less so keep that in mind. Wlad holds on to keep from getting hit, which is also tactical and within the rules. So rule Hatton and Wlad out of your "dirty" fighters list and look at guys like Castillo, Casamayor, Hopkins, and yes, Trinidad low blows every fight when he's in trouble so he is just as bad as the rest of them because he does it to gain an advantage whereas that's not really the case with Castillo.
It's a tough topic, but if you really wanna break it down, get on the guys who do it with malicious intent like Trinidad and Hopkins.Comment

Casamayor and Hopkins are the best skilled foulers ever, the way they do their dirt is really masterful. In a historic sense, Harry Greb takes the cake. I remember my trainer told me that fighters would enter clinches with him and leave looking like their face had been run through a windmill.

oh man... you cannot be serious...Originally posted by DiegoFuegoYou could argue if Hopkins hadn't landed that headbutt in like the 8th round, the Hopkins rally in the 9th-12th rounds never happens. That headbutt is the only thing that kept Hopkins in that fight.Comment
