Comments Thread For: Angel Manfredy Back in The Boxing Mix as a Trainer

CROWN POINT, Ind. - Angel "El Diablo" Manfredy was one of the most successful boxers to emerge from the Region. The colorful fighter won a junior lightweight world title, beat big-name fighters like Arturo "The Human Highlight Reel" Gatti in the 1998 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year, and garnered some of the biggest ratings on HBO fight nights during the 1990s. The native of East Chicago's Indiana Harbor neighborhood was known for his many tattoos, the latex devil mask he wore before fights, and his raw power - 32 of his 43 professional wins were by knockout.

Man, I haven't heard Manfredy's name mentioned in awhile. That's cool that Manfredy is training fighters now. I hope he can get a couple of name fighters eventually to see if he can train and coach like some of the great trainers of today like Roach, Garcia, Sanchez, etc... I wish him luck, I hope to see him on HBO or one of the networks training a fighter that's showcased.

Is he still making those weird cringe videos of him calling out Floyd Mayweather for a rematch?
