Talking about Estrada? this guy is a flee 'Chocolatito' already beat him and really he has no valid stake when he avoided fighting Ioka for the lineal at flyweight and then fighting two bums at 115, one was really a flyweight and just got KO about three months prior to their encounter and the other guy was not even top 20 to capture a 'silver' title to land him here.
Both fought Gonzalez close and both wanted a rematch Gonzalez won't give them. I don't care who they fought or didn't fight. We're talking about Gonzalez not giving people rematches who deserve it.

This is Roman's fault for giving Cuadras his word on the rematch -- I dont remember if he said it would be immediate and really Cuadras should of never had to fight Carmona and now Estrada to be fair.

So Karma caught up to 'Choco' and he took an L vs. Rungvisai....but Estrada has been gifted this shot at Cuadras ; hes done nothing at the weight to warrant this eliminator.

Exactly! You have a great point!

September doesn't seem bad to me. I think Gonzalez would do well with some recuperation time, but so would Rungvisai. I got no opinion on this, whether June or September, I'm cool with either.

Fight wasn't close. Gonzalez landed more and landed harder. The fight was a pretty wide UD, the judges wouldn't be that far off for a supposed robbery. People look at Gonzalez' face and Cuadra's wild wailing and think Gonzalez lost, christ, rewatch the fight and pay attention to what's landing.

Gonzalez priced himself out for the rematch. He said he wanted a million dollars!

That fight was close. Gonzalez had nothing left after the 6th round. You had to have Gonzalez up 5-0 going into the 6th round for him to win that fight. Cuadras was landing the more effective punches the second half of that fight.

A lot of inconsistencies on both sides remembering the timelines accurately : Estrada's injury is regularly dismissed by detractors, around the time when the Arroyo and Viloria fights took place team Gonzalez approached them about a fight but Zanfer promotions had not made it clear that Estrada was thinking about having surgery - Gonzalez relented on the million dollar demand but wanted a good purse for both unfortunately by then Estrada was out of action so they looked to accomplish another goal moving up in weight to become a four division champion since 'Gallo' was no longer available and it was the only lucrative fight for him at 112.

Its ridiculous to suggest a P4P fighter whos been moving up the weight classes throughout his whole career and already beat a previously beaten opponent is ducking him especially when he moves up chasing history by facing the #1-2 undefeated champion at a higher weight, that's stronger and faster with a great amateur background.

This contradicts what was said earlier in the week where Roman apparently wanted to wait until the late fall

Rungvisai deserves an optional defense before facing the mandatory challenger. IBF champ Jerwin Ancajas would be next in life for whoever would be the WBC champ.
