He looks like the real deal.
This guy actually has a strong amateur background rare for many Mexicans fighters.
Hopefully he gets a shot at Donaire. Donaire while faded is still dangerous and has speed. We can get a better gage at where he is then.

He's a great talent but he needs to start fighting some live bodies, although with him being with TR, we might be waiting a while.

Guy is a monster though, very sharp, explosive and accurate.

Who knows? 126 has a lot of great fighters right now.
Mares, LSC, Frampton, Russell and the other two British guys, whose names escape me right now.

I think if Valdez gets a crack at Donaire, we'll have a better feel for where he is.

Hes a beast. I dont think his height limits how far he can move up but he can definitely be the man at 126. Valdez vs Gary Russel Jr. is the fight I wanna see. Thats for #1 @126 imo

I think he would beat Santa Cruz right now. That being said Marriaga is no joke. There is a reason that Walters refused to make weight for the fight. Valdez vs Marriaga will tell us all we need to know of Valdez.

His fight vs Marriaga could answer lots of questions, Marriaga is no joke and is probably a harder natural puncher than Valdez.
