Comments Thread For: Klitschko: Sparring Joshua Gives an Advantage on Both Sides

Former champion Wladimir Klitschko has said sparring with Britain's Anthony Joshua a few years ago has given him an idea of what to expect ahead of their world heavyweight title clash at Wembley Stadium on April 29.

I'd say it's more of an advantage for A.J as he would have vastly improved from when they sparred.

Klitchko would still be at the same level or even worse than when they sparred together.

Them sparring is the reason Wlad took this fight. Klitschko knocked out Joshua in sparring. Had him down for several minutes. Knowing that gives Wlad confidence. Only thing is that was years ago.

Came to say the same thing. Joshua will remember a better Wlad than he will see in the ring and Wlad will remember a more green Joshua than the one that will show up.

AJ defo got the better from the sparring. He was there to learn and since then he has got so much better.

Is there any proof for this story? I think there is no footage of their Sparring so i dont care what anybody says has happened.

Lol, according to NSB, Joshua has been cold KO'd by every sparing partner he's had. Including this, I've heard rumors that 5 different guys have had him down.

I don't think sparring counts for much in terms of who is better, but if even half the stories are true, we'd have to believe AJ is a puffed up Amir Khan.
