Somewhere in another forum stated that margarito was in negotiation with sharmba mitchell to fight in august. Personally, I don't like this match but what do u guys think?

i hope nobody is complaining if margarito fights sharmba, many here said, ok sharmba is a good opponet, so now that this deal is almost finaliazed i hope people don't say margarito took an easy opponet. cause if some want to give floyd credit for beating a good jr. welterweight in sharmba then that credit will also be given to margarito when he defeats sharmba.

This would be a good move for Margarito and I think it would give us a clue about how he would match up with Mayweather. Mitchell will give margarito some trouble with his mobility for sure. I don't know if Margarito is quick enough to get his punches off against someone like Mitchell

i agree. maybe mitchell can comeback but idk. after getting knocked out by tszyu and mayweather i highly doubt he'll reach the 6th.

This is a bad fight for Margarito. People rip Floyd but then Margarito always gets away with fights like this. You cant compare this fight to Floyd. Floyd was in his very 1st fight at 147 and was using Mitchell as a tuneup for Zabs southpaw skills & style. Floyd killed him and now Margarito fights him after he has recently lost to Floyd & Tszyu?

Add to that Floyd weighed a 145 pounds for that fight and Margarito will come in like a big monster.

Again, Im sick of people talking about no one will fight Margarito but he never fights anyone. How come he doesnt go to 154 where he could get alot of big fights? He doesnt go because he cant even beat one of the easiest guys up there in Santos. Now you have a guy at 147 like Callazo and Margarito picks Mitchell? Callazo is Mitchell except for younger, better, a true Welterweight, and he has the name that Margarito's been looking for.

With all that being said, if Mitchell has anything left then I think he could give Margarito alot of problems because I still say the guy is extremley overrated, has no defense at all, and a suspect chin

Margarito is still fighting 'past it' guys while Floyd is making history. Margarito will never be a star IMO. He just doesn't have what it takes. It's sad that his belt doesn't have any meaning unless he loses it to someone more credible.
