Both of these guys were gifted titles they didn't truly earn by the wbc strictly out of Mexican favoritism. At least Chavez Jr appreciated his favorable treatment.

We all know he was the God Son of the famous Don José Sulaimán WBC President! From 1975 Sulaiman was unanimously elected president of the WBC and had served in that capacity until the time of his death in 2014.
We all saw his career with our own eyes who has he fought?
He padded his resume with Brian Vera twice! in the first fight JR threw He threw 320 punches, while Vera threw 734.
Vera also lost to Andy lee!
The other tough fight was Sergio Martinez from (broke his left hand an tore his right meniscus) and still won the fight!
JR tested positive on a drug test after the fight for marijuana!
JR is a big undisciplined kid! We all know the stories, the DUI, In-in-out while she should be training! training in the living room eating fruit loops! His uncles that trained the legend! Freddie Roach, Joe Goossen, Robert Garcia, and now Nacho.
His whole career is coming down and fighting a smaller guy! The one time he didn't do that was Fonfara and we all know what happened next!

Words from his former promoter admitting to only staging mismatches with him against much smaller guys.
"He exposed what we all knew about Chavez: that he had built his reputation on his ability to come down in weight and then hydrate up so that he was fighting smaller guys. Look at every one of his fights, when did he ever fight a guy his own size? We never, ever, ever put Chavez in a fight where we did not clear it with the father who knows more about boxing than any of those guys around. Who best understands his sons limitations than Julio Sr?," said Arum.
And the the father did go on the record before this fight stating that he would not have chose Fonfara as the opponent...Chavez Jr's night ended with beer being pelted on him from the audience.
"I know that the Mexican fans have been off this guy because they're very discerning and he did the most inexcusable thing for a Mexican - not losing or getting beat up - but quitting. Mexican fighters don't quit," stated Arum.
So can this be put together again? Well, that's not Arum's problem anymore.
"I have no idea, I couldn't care less, I really feel sorry for the father, who I have a great love for. I have nothing against the son. The son is what he is, somebody who is very, very spoiled, very, very entitled and he got what he deserved."

Canelo haters be like... "f.uck Canelo the ducker blah blah, he said he don't mess around and vacated!" Then say "I'm a boxing fan and he is the first Mexican to vacate a major title, that's why I hope jr kicks his a.ss" uh... excuse me? As a boxing fan, a real boxing fan with a brain, don't even have to be smart just have common sense... why the hell would you go for a pothead, who has been undisciplined and is only in this event for his name over a person who, no matter his resume, or the vacated incident, is always ready and a true professional as he takes his job seriously? To me that's just pure ******ity and just straight hating on Canelo. If you are a real boxing fan and can use even a lil of common sense, you know Canelo vacated for financial reasons. Before any fighter laces'm up its a business first and a contract had to be signed! Bbb side didn't deserve 45 percent and didn't deserve to force Canelo to come to full 160! Anyone who don't see that him vacating was strictly business is plain dumb. Now we have bbb side saying he fights for legacy but backed out of bjs who would be his "legacy" fight and y'all cool with that?! Please, bbb's fan base is the sole reason why I started to not support bbb anymore: you guys are dumb. Canelo gonna whoop Chavez, triple b, and cotto in his farewell as whooping! Fighter of the year credentials: CANELO! And all you haters give him credit when this happens!

"real boxing fan with a brain, don't even have to be smart just have common sense..." seems like you don't have any of it.
People knows Canelo is a middleweight who is heavier than Golovkin on fight night since years ago, since the Angulo fight (174) that it's that way. Even against Trout (172) before the Mayweather fight he was heavier than Golovkin is now.
So, we, the fans with a brain, wanted the fight at 160 so that no one had advantages, because even at that weight Canelo will have 5 pounds on Golovkin.
