Seriously, Steward saw it coming a mile away. Barrera didn't look like the uninspired, lost fighter he was after the fights with Jones. Barrera was gonna get him on that night, and Steward knew it.Originally posted by moy22487Did he really try to pull him out. ive heard him say something like that last saturday but i thaught he was just trying yo blow smoke up MAB assComment

Originally posted by Queensdawghe's definately great at making predictions. He predicts that hopkins will beat tarver. i hope bhop knocks him senseless.. I hope hes right because i dont see it happening
Hopkins looks incredibly thicker, and im also predicting that he KO's the skinny ass tarver.
ANd yea, steward predicts stuff all the time, although if he did the douglas/tyson fight, im sure as hell that he didnt predict that.Comment

Before the fight with Johnson, he said that Johnson was the perfect fighter for Jones in his prime. However, he also stated that if this was not the Jones of old, but instead an old Jones, Johnson would be the wrong fighter for him to face, particularly in light of the KO he suffered just 5 months earlier.Originally posted by ejenkiThe only time that I can remember him being wrong was for Tarver vs Jones II and for Roy's next fight with Glen Johnson.Comment

****, so did I. The reason I predicted Mitchell to smack Tszyu around was A) Mitchell had been very impressive leading up to the fight, B) Tszyu had been off for almost 2 years, C) Tszyu was 35 years old, D) and Tszyu had all sorts of issues with Mitchell in there first fight. What I didn't expect, and I'm sure Emanuel Steward didn't see coming either, was that Mitchell would go out there and try to make a brawl out of it. He paid a huge price for that genius idea. All the factors were in place for Mitchell to outbox Tszyu. He attempted to pounce on Tszyu anticipating he'd be rusty. For all his efforts, he got bounced off the canvas 4 times.Originally posted by lidsyHe predicted Mitchell to beat Tszyu.Comment
