Kessler's standpoint is that he was basically treated like trash, told to re-wrap his hands 5 times. Had to change his locker room like right before the fight and generally a mistreat of the champion. I can understand that he complained about the whole situation, maybe he was just angry that he lost, but he is not a guy who strikes me as a liar, which is why I chose to believe him.

Everyone is different. People look into too much with how fighters behave pre fight.
Everyone is different. Guys like kovalev fight better when they dont like theyre opponent or they're pissed off. Or mayweather thrives in chaotic pre fight stuff.
While guys like Cotto prefers it to be quiet or Pacquiao is friendly towards his opponents.Last edited by TRTboy; 04-18-2017, 02:15 PM.

Kovalev only knows how to fight one way. His actions, will speak louder than his words. Nothing he's doing or saying doesn't have me convinced he won't put up ANOTHER winning effort...
. I'm a little concerned now however, about the judges and the Roc nation banner hosting a mutual playing field....

Well, put yourself in his shoes. He went into the fight as the reigning champ, and despite that, made less than the challenger. During the fight,he managed to outbox the boxer (to many people's surprise),and the majority of the boxing world agrees that he had done enough to win the fight. Instead, what happened was that 3 judges gave ward the fight by literally 1 point, and took kovalevs undeafeted record, along with his titles. Now he has to sit and hear how "ward figured him out" "and ward dominated the second half of the fight" which isn't true at all. Scared? No. Pissed off,and ready to show who the real champ is? Hells yes.

It probably seems that way cuz he is constantly barraged with the same questions. It would get a little annoying after a while. I will say it appears the loss got under his skin tho...particularly cuz he truly believes it was an unjust decision. I think that attitude is detrimental to his focus for the rematch...he should look at it as a close fight and prepare accordingly. If he thinks he's gonna come in there and walk through ward, he's gonna be in a bad place if he can't.
