This is getting really out of hand, people mentioning this. It was an accident, if you see the fight, it was a regular boxing match. Kovalev is an accidental killer being made out to be a real killer or something. Go watch the fight if you haven't, it really didn't even appear to be any malicious intent behind Kovalev's punches, and that's usually how deaths in the ring happen, there never seen coming, it could just be a well placed temple shot that triggers the beginning of the end for the soon to pass away fighter. People making it out to be Emile Griffith vs Benny Paret 2 or something, where Griffith clearly had malicious intent and the anger behind his punches went beyond just doing it for the sport, he looked like he was really trying to bash in Paret's skull, literally. It was personal.

Now of course, Kovalev killing another boxer in the ring at this point it's great promotion for his power from his fans. The reality is Kovalev was punching just as hard as he would punch anyone else, that fighter just couldn't take it. It happens, but let's not praise accidental killings now.

Does it matter about the specifics at this point? Fact of the matter is Kovalev took a man's life with his hands and still likes to cause pain to his opponents and openly express his pleasure in seeing them hurt!

The guy would put you,me and normal individuals who likely don't work out every single day and engage in combat on a stretcher with his bare knuckles!

He routinely was hurting Ward with just jabs and the punch that knocked down SOG didn't even land correctly with max power, he caught Ward a little bit too short and instead of direct knuckle it was on back hand!

Ward felt those shots, just watch the post fight press conference when he tried to get up out of his seat, like most fighters your taught to hide the pain but that time he didn't!

SOG survived due to having a great chin, elite conditioning, IQ, and does whatever it takes to get an advantage!

I respect WARD for what's he done but he knows that Kov can hurt him and now knows Ward can't hurt him!
