Sad, Matthysse was a very solid fighter who fell in love with his power when he got shafted by the judges against Judah and Alexander!

The ref in the Garcia fight didn't protect him or even give Danny an earned 2 point deduction for several low blows!

The ref in the Postol fight had a too late of a hard warning to Postol for holding and leaning on Lucas, by that time he was already weary!


I think his career has been slightly mismanaged, who goes from a very very tough fight against Provodnikov then jump right into Championshup fight against a man who's all wrong for you style wise?!

I got Taylor stopping Lucas due to the eye, Matthysse needed someone like Robert Garcia or Nacho not Diaz who is very overrated!

So we've got Lucas as damaged goods going against the next thing to a bum in Emmanuel Taylor - a punching bag.
