Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain revealed that he had a verbal clash at the ongoing training camp with former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The came is taking place at the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Mexico. Their dispute got to the point where Nacho told Chavez Jr. that he would not accompany him to Las Vegas for the scheduled fight with Canelo Alvarez, which takes place on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

According to the article and video below, Nacho and Chavez Jr. got into it after Chavez Jr. wanted to leave training in the Otomi mountains and head out to Mexico City or Las Vegas. Nacho told Chavez if would not do what he asks him to do, he will not be with him in Vegas come May 7.
Chavez wanted to end his training this week to travel to Mexico City or Las Vegas but Nacho convinced him to stay until April 28-29.
"That bothered me a lot, I told him he was wrong, we've been here a month and a half and because of a whim of his he want's to throw all the hard work away. I'm not playing, I'm a professional, I told him, 'I'm not going to Vegas like this,' he saw I wasn't playing and he told me it was fine, whatever you want.... I told him I was not ok with that, it's ****** to be this high in the mountains then come down 15 days because who knows what animal stung him, and throw all the hard work away" - Nacho
