Comments Thread For: Canelo: Chavez Could Quit; Once a Quitter, Always a Quitter

Canelo Alvarez didn't hesitate Tuesday to continue his war of words with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Alvarez acknowledged during a conference call to promote their May 6 fight that he thinks he can make his Mexican rival quit. A reporter asked Alvarez if he thinks that's a possibility because Oscar De La Hoya, Alvarez's promoter, made Chavez's father quit in their rematch and because Chavez Jr. himself quit against Andrzej Fonfara.

Crossed the line! Sr never a quitter. Canelo is an azhole. That was not necessary. He will never come close to Sr. Hope Canelo gets shocked.

I can hear E.T. right now saying, Ouch!!

I don't think Jr would quit though against Canelo, too much pride in this one.

Even though he did quit against Fonfara. And yes I remember his dad Chavez Sr quit against De La Hoya and Grover Wiley.

People, but Chávez quit when he was old and out of his prime and vs a legend in prime and young like Oscar de la Hoya.

            Chávez in prime never quit.

Jr is trash, canelo will be the winner by tko, by cuts.

Does this also mean Canelo might vacate the commemorative belt if he wins?
