This fight has a Cotto Margarito feel about it. Whether it's number one or two remains to be seen.

Nonsense!!CANELO must box his opponents and let the KO come. It won't be about strength and power moving forward, it will be about boxing IQ and skills!!

I would be so happy if it was Cotto/ Margs 1.

Duh Canelo, you should've been moved up to 160 instead of melting down to 155 for so long. Now you feel stronger, duh, no kidding.

I think Canelo's ceiling as far as weight classes go throughout his career and the highest he can go is 168. Whether he can be successful is another question.

It remains to be seen how his power translates to 160, in this case 164.5.

I know he'll be stronger but as far as knocking people out. We have to see if that translates to facing bigger boxers. Because when he was at 155 or lower he couldn't knock out Matthew Hatton, Mosley, Angulo was a walking zombie and the ref stopped the fight because of continuous punching on the walking punching bag Angulo, but he didn't blast Angulo out of there. Angulo was pissed off at the referee for stopping the fight. Against Cotto, even though Cotto's plan was to box and move and try to get Canelo tired, there were exchanges in that fight and Cotto didn't go down. So we have to see how Canelo translates. He is reaching or in his prime now. But he shouldn't be facing people like glass chin Khan and weak Liam Smith. Now it's weight drained Chavez. I sincerely hope after this fight with Chavez he fights credible opponents.

                  This the equivalent of Floyd-Berto
Canelo 5 fights since signing w/ HBO
                  Kirkland,Khan,Liam Smith,Cotto Chavez Jr

well his mitt work as of late has been landing heavier but imo his speed since the 155 training has gone 10% slower. not that it makes a difference against Chavez Jr. I hope this is Morales vs Barrera. HBO needs it
