  • Comments Thread For: Jeff Mayweather Fires Back at Dana White Over McGregor Split

Trainer and former fighter Jeff Mayweather has fired back at UFC President Dana White, this past Saturday night erupted at the post fight press conference to UFC 210 in Buffalo, New York - after being pressed on the recent claims that he's demanding a huge bulk of money from UFC superstar Conor McGregor to go forward with a possible boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Dana White takes more from his fighters than all boxing promoters combined. BIGGEST snake always calls other people snakes. What a shame to be Connor Mcgregor, how is it that Amanda Nunes only got 100k guarantee and Danny Garcia gets 2-3 mil to fight on primetime tv, something is NOT right.

I thought Dana white sold his shares in the UFC? I have nothing against promoters but most of them are greedy. I know everyone wants to make money but sometimes you got to be decent over it. If the 80-20% split is true then Conor shouldn't take the fight. Business is Business but at the end of the day you got to have some principle too.

20% is a bigger cut than the UFC is giving him right now. He's an idiot if he passes up probably 40+ million when he'll probably be beat up and choked out again in the UFC in short order for a heck of a lot less.

Who DOESN'T know by now that Dana White is a crook?

Look at what some of his top stars make at these UFC PPVs. It's insulting.

You do realize that they are referring to 20% of the remaining money AFTER Mayweather gets his cut. So if the fight makes enough money for $125 million in purses, Floyd gets his $100 million and McGregor gets 20% of the remaining $25 million. That's the way I read it at least.

No they're talking about out of Conor's cut even Jeff said it. I would be extremely shocked if the overall split was 80/20.

Let the UFC have a cut off Conor but give most to Conor.

The UFC can have a cut of Conor's millions but give the majority to McGregor anyway. Pay both men $100 million and give the UFC 10 million. Greed is good and money buys everything even love.

Connor, Dana and the entire UFC , would be dumb as hell to accept an offer like that. If that's the case, there's no need for a contract, they can just shake hands on it.
