If they didn't want to fight so soon why did they make a big deal about fighting Saunders this summer? It sounds like they didn't even factor going the distance in whatever plans they had moving on. Maybe I'm missing something but none of this is making sense. Where did the story about him being injured come from?

It's the excuse Loeffler told Warren why the fight couldn't be made. Sanchez said GGG wasn't injured. Now Sanchez is saying GGG is sore but he didn't notice it until a week after the fight. Somebody is lying, Lying Loeffler or Fable Sanchez. Both of those liars might be lying.

Not surprised, there was no way Golovkin was walking away from that war with Jacobs at 35 years of age and not feeling it. Jacobs touched him up a lot. He is wise to wait until September for a potential Canelo fight, but he still wants that WBO belt. Saunders may we tell GGG to get f***ed in the future.

problem is, Warren agreed to ALL terms..... which means that he just burned Team Golovkin's "oh well, we can't make them fight us..... I guess we will fight a TBA because Gennady is married to the date" story.....

because he agreed to ALL terms, they had to fight Saunders in June rather than another no-hoper, so..... the fight is off, suddenly it is important to wait for Canelo

well, by admitting that, now they have to accept Canelo's offer or else they just wasted another payday

Not only was he keen to fight, he was the one asking Tom where is the contract. He took it upon himself to ask Tom why he hasn't received the contract. I guess BJS didn't believe what Warren or his manager was telling him. He probably thought they were lying when they said they were waiting on Loeffler. So BJS asked Loeffler what's up with the contract and Loeffler said he was sending it but never sent it

I was thinking that also??? When I heard they were gonna give GGG at LEAST $10,000,000 and Saunders at least $5,000,000 I was like where are they getting this money from??? ESPECIALLY after seeing Jacobs/GGG PPV numbers...The math just didn't add up???

That's exactly what happened. I believe Triple G indeed wanted the Unification fight with Saunders for all the belts. But the money that was being discussed most likely wasn't realistic. Similar to the Pacquiao-Khan fiasco.

So now they are trying to do damage control. In essence Tom Waffler is the same as Michael Koncz. Amateur hour for Tom Waffler. Had Warren pay a good amount of money for a step aside fee to Khurtsidze. Said, Saunders will get $4 ,$5 million, Triple G $10 million. Now that the money isn't there, Tom Waffler looks like a fool. Wasted Saunders and Warren's time and money. Now they're trying damage control and their stories and explanations are all over the place.



Though I think that something will come up for the Golovkin-Canelo fight to not happen this year. I'm thinking next year it will finally happen.

I dont know who this "Carlos Boggs" person is, but I hope he is wrong. Not only would GGG likely get stripped of the IBF belt (canelo would not be a unification, and a mando is due), but odds are he wont get the Canelo fight anyways.

This is just dumb dumb dumb, and I am having a hard time believing that Oleg would go along with this, and risk getting okie-doked yet again.

I hope this 'source" is wrong. But if the source is correct, then in my opinion K2 just made a HUGE mistake and likely screwed GGGs career royally.........

Triple G look like he overtrained for his last 2 fights and it's starting to show,, he said Brook was his toughest opponent before he fought him and the same about Jacobs. He left it all in the gym overtrained his body and that's why his last 2 performances weren't so Great.. Some people see that and say it's his age though
