WBA super middleweight champ Mikkel Kesslerīs planned June 9 defense against Ukrainian Vitaly Tsypko is cancelled. Kessler suffered a cartilage lesion in the left elbow in sparring with Russian Sergey Tatevosyan Monday and will have surgery on May 24.. He is unable to box for 4 weeks due to the injury.
