Did Chevez Sr. Refuse to Fight Guys until they Got Old
Be wusebthats what Canelo is trying to do with GGG. That's what Tank with do with Loma. Floyd all but said it. As he said Canelo should do with GGG. These so called young superstars will wait out the older counterparts.
Hatton, Cotto, Khan, Kirkland, even Smith had significant disadvantages in size to Canelo. Let Canelo fight a guy 15 pounds heavier than him in their prime. Even Chavez won't have that and he hasn't done shiiiit in 5 years.
Alverez is a PR generated star. He relies on his nationality and carefully cherry picked opponents. He's a good fighter but to achieve greatness you have to do great things. His handlers apparently have no real faith in his abilities so have opted to build his rep by pushing his mexican heritage and only letting him fight smaller fighters or named fighters clearly past their prime or by making physical requirements like catch weights madatory like with Chavez. Chavez will be so weight drained combined with the long lay off there is a clear advantage for Alverez. As for GGG same thing! GGG is past his prime and Alverez's handlers are just bluffing about a fight until GGG slows down even more then they'll look to fight him. History can't change the fact that Canelo GAVE UP his middleweight title to avoid a prime time confrontation. He a media generated champion
does popkins still maintain he was "pushed" out of the ring by joe smith as for floyd jr being more intelligent than Triple GGG floyd jr can't even read he don't even speak english he speaks some thing called "ebonics" that is the only language he knows meanwhile Triple GGG is fluent 5 languages kazac russian german english and spanish canola himself only knows 4 english words "get me the money" i would have to say intelligence is not the strong suit of canola or any of his opponents has canola ever actually fought a high school graduate i doubt it
Money or legacy, choose one. It's been almost 18 months since Canelo became lineal middleweight champ. Depending on your definition, he's already renounced that by fighting outside of middleweight twice, and once for a belt.
I like Canelo, but he needs to face Golovkin and soon to fix his legacy. The Canelo who fought Lara needs to put his foot down again and demand it.
Uh, friend, it's in the pipeline. It will happen. Patience is a virtue.

If anyone is a media generated myth it's GGG. The Wades etc etc etc padded his resume, HBO blabbering endlessly fluffing him up all the way. And as for the Mexican thing... it's actually in the minority the number of Mexican or Puerto Rican (or whatever Latino heritage) champs who haven't had their heritage highlighted by either the media or the fans. So that point is meaningless really. We'll see how your media generated GGG guy handles media generated Canelo. My guess is, Canelo puts in a solid workmanlike performance and wins an easy UD. And a trilogy will ensue, with a possible 'bought' win for GGG in fight 2, then a Canelo KO win in fight 3. Then Canelo gets #1 P4P honors, while GGG retires a very rich guy. The End.
