I'm not amused by Flanagan at all. He is the weakest of the titleholders at 135, in my opinion, and has shown the least interest in getting in there with quality fighters in his division. Essentially, he is cashing in on the fact that Loma and Garcia are building up their fight. Loma is really pushing the limit on his size, which I appreciate him putting himself out there. I think he said a while back that he walks around at about 138 and he was clearly the smaller guy against Sosa. That size disparity will be even more apparent at 135. He will handle Flanagan (because Flanagan isn't that good), but Linares and Garcia aren't going to be walks in the park. Not only do they have talent, but they also have high ring IQ and won't let Loma dance around like he does with other opponents. Gotta tip my hat to Loma. He's out to prove that he's great. Instead of talking about it, he is being about it and not waiting on cowards to find their pens or bickering about money.

I like this plan. I want to see Garcia vs linares first plus this gives loma some time to settle into the division because neither Jorge or mikey are mugs and he will have his work cut out against either.

Loma/Flanagan is not a very interesting or intriguing fight to me. Loma is far superior to him.

It is always good to watch a master craftsman show off his skills but there are better fighters available. I enjoy watching Loma but I'd get more out of it if the competition was better.

The only good thing is I should be able to watch a feed from the UK so I don't have to hear Lampley and Max.

It makes sense but I doubt Mikey will be at 135 much longer. I see him fighting Linares, then Easter followed by the move up to 140.

These guys will fight a few years from now at 140 on PPV. There's no way we get this fight for free anytime soon. Bob is too smart for that.

What does it say, that Team Loma wants him to pursue Flanagan next? Should Mikey take the risk of hoping for a Loma fight in 2018, or should he go for Linares and then move to 140?

Why not Corrales at 130? Loma doesn't need to move up so quickly. Let him acclamate with his weight gain.

I get that they are targeting Flanagan because Loma isn't going to fill an arena right now. Take him to England and at least he gets the exposure and the big payday.

Just understand, like I tried to explain a similar position to poster #Garcia's Dad in Larry's thread, now that Loma has the makings of a star, HBO and TR are going to match him where it makes the most financial sense, not necessarily the toughest opponent.

Mikey should fight Linares next. That will be the top 2 guys in the division. I am a big Mikey fan as you know. IMO he can't avoid Linares like he did Gamboa because it will make him look very bad.

He is way too good for Easter right now so unless its Rances Barthelemy (and who wants to see that?) it should be Linares.

Where does Robert Easter Jnr figure in all this?

That's fine, then we'll get Garcia -Crawford but what I hope doesn't happen is they all take one step forward meaning Lomachenko to 135, Garcia to 140 and Crawford to 147 before any of the 2 get a chance to scrap.

But isn't that the most logical outcome? I think we have a better chance of getting Spence v. Crawford over any of these other fights. But Garcia v. Crawford will happen sooner than Loma v. Garcia imo.
