Comments Thread For: Hearn Admits Concern if Joshua-Klitschko Enters The Late Rounds

Eddie Hearn, promoter of IBF heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (18-0, 18 KOs), admits that he's concerned with the possibility of his boxer's upcoming bout extending into the championship rounds. Joshua will by far face his best opponent to date, when he defends his belt against former division ruler Wladimir Klitschko. The fight takes place on April 29th before a crowd of 90,000 fans at Wembley, and the vacant WBA, IBO world titles will also be at stake.

I would be concerned too. Joshua's best win is over Breazeale or Whyte, take your pick.

I had a a dream that Joshua knocks Wlad out in the first round, hits him with a straight and rocks him, Klitschko off balance is hunched over and then he gets caught by another right and goes down, gets up jelly legged and gets demolished with a barrage of punches..

I don't think the fight will happen like that but that's what happened in my dream.. take from that what you will

            It's possible.

Imagine if Klitschko is just levels above him even now (he might be). Joshua could go down as literally the biggest hype job ever. We've had hype jobs before but Joshua has sold huge PPV's, made a LOT of money and now selling out a 90,000 stadium and he's only fought the likes of Molina and Breazeale. That's another level.

Not that losing to Wlad makes anyone a hype job but still, Joshua would have done all of that above and then lose to his first real test which highlights just how well he's been marketed to the casual fanbase here in the UK.

AJ needs to push the tempo. He has slim chance outboxing Wlad, but if he puts the pressure while being cautious of left hooks he should come on top.

Anyhow, the winner of this one is the man in HW.

If Josh loses that jealous fat cow fury would be the happiest man in the world. Josh needs to win this just to shut everyone up.

Joshua has the tendency to throw a right hand and doesn't pull it back immediately.. that's when he is susceptible to left hook.. fight after fight he has done the same.. It's like he is in love with his power and the reaction he gets.. Wlad has one of the best left hooks in the game.. I'd see a left hook hurting Joshua pretty bad..
