Just watched a documentary on the legendary Jeff Fenech. Just wondering peoples thoughts on where he would stand amongst todays super bantamweights. He was tenacious tough and dirty..but smart as well with a dogged determination to win in an era of genuine hard men who would often do whatever it took to win inside or outside the rules.

He would have mauled them all. The Azumah fight was interesting - he got robbed and then thought he'd win the rematch easily and got spanked! ..and then won the "Trilogy" fight on points
Both great warriors - in the era of today you can't get fighters like that as fighters don't fight each other, thanks to people like Floyd, Cotto, etc, who just say "I'm the A side and I fight who I like"..
Could you imagine a fighter like Rigondeaux 20 years ago? He would have been idolised world wide.Comment

Jeff Fenech was a beast until he destroyed his hands. They were his Achilles tendon. Too much power for his brittle hands. I think the damage to them started early.Comment
