Does Shannon Briggs have anywhere to go?

He keeps talking about wanting a title shot against basically anybody but I don't know. Will he just fight fringe contenders for the rest of his life?

He's supposed to have the WBA "regular" title shot against Oquendo if they can find someone willing to put up some money. Then I guess he can make decent money fighting crap WBA mandatories for a while.

He 's fighting Fres Oquendo for the WBA Regular(or interim) title June 3rd,thats official, then the winner has to fight Alexander Ustinov, big tough russian,Briggs v Ustinov would be brutal i think.

Hes 45, should retire already. Maybe he wants an ABC trinket to be the oldest heavyweight to ever get an ABC trinket but he aint beating the lineal guy at this stage so he isnt beating Foreman's record of lineal champ at 45.

I didn't even know the fight was for the regular belt thought Oquendo was some random guy they pulled off the street.

Aye mate, dont know how,i like Briggs but really he doesnt desereve a title shot even for a "regular" version and Oquendo has been mandatory for over 2yrs but hasnt fought in that time because of injuries i think.

He is 45 years old.He fought Vitali 7 years ago and hardly landed a punch the whole fight, He took a terrible beating and lost by scores of 120-105, and 120-107 twice. He can punch and has a great chin but he is very old and very slow. He has almost no chance of beating a real top 10 heavyweight. He is fighting another washed up 45 year old boxer for the WBA world title in a joke of a title fight. He may soon be a belt holder. Boxrec ranks him the 35th best heavyweight. He will keep fighting and making decent money and probably ended up punchy.

He should've retired after Vitali put him in the hospital.
