    Mexico, Cancun Quintana Roo - In a battle of former world champion Cristian "Diamante" Mijares (56-8-2, 26 KO's) won a unanimous decision victory over Tomas "Gusano" Rojas (48-15-1, 32 KO's) in Veracruz in the main event of a Televisa card from the crowded "Oasis Arena Cancun". Judge Euberto Diaz scored is 96-93, Oscar Caldern scored 96-94 and Eliseo Gonzalez Jr. scored 95-94.

    Mijares is still going??? Jesus!!! He's been at it for 20 years. I thought he was done when Darchinyan steamrolled him 10 years ago. Good on him for still being able to do after all this time.

      2 shop worn & over the hill veterans going at one another in a decent fight neither are World contenders @ this point... the undercard was just local favorites versus taxi cab drivers especially the fight with Roberto Ortiz , Massa, still trying to come back from his only defeat...
