kovalev initiated all the clinches because he was scared to engage in the pocket. as soon as ward closed the distance he locked his neck. its obvious that was the master plan from john david jackson. just hug him tight. if kovalev engages ward inside he'll get knocked out or brutalized for 12 rounds. hes only effective from a distance because of his reach. ward is gonna maul that punk in the rematch. hope Kovalev is ready to take some brutal body shots.

again, i'm not talking about fighters. i'm talking about the demeanor. kovalev looked calm as always. he wasn't in a rush to KO or fighting like someone who is mad would. dude couldn't care less about what happened outside the ring.
