Yeah that and also don't all you need to do to get a license is just show that you're competent in a video, and then they judge if you're good enough to be licensed? Also his name recognition probably helped him, and the fact that he's a "striker" in MMA.

While he's not a pro level boxer, I think all he has to do is show that he's competent.

Remember, boxing is a sport that still grants licenses to guys like Roy Jones Jr, Ricardo Mayorga, James Toney. So we as boxing fans shouldn't act holier than thou when it comes to granting licenses, there is no apparent standards. Not saying I support Mayweather vs McGregor, just saying I don't think that McGregor getting a NSAC boxing license is some corrupt thing that took place, it's just lack of high standards in boxing.

I absolutely dont mind this fight for one reason. That reason being that boxing owes MMA one for the James Tony vs Randy Couture debacle!

I hated that and the way MMA fans used it to gas their sport. Granted some freak punch doesn't land and k.o. May than boxing should get one back and bring some more mainstream attention from the young crazed MMA fans.
