    Heavyweight Ratings

    There's been a lot of talk about BoxRec's new and even stranger than before ratings.

    Here are the ratings as per the WBC (as of May 2006), WBA (as of May 10, 2006), IBF (as of April 20, 2006- new ratings due), and WBO (as of May 2006):

    I'm only listing the WBC's top 15- they list a top 40:

        I wonder if the eye injury is coming into play there, because it's an absolute travesty and Brewster is a big draw..I'd love to see him in there against any of those guys.

          i doubt it, reason being is that there are guys like monte barrett on the lists who havent even fought in over a year.

          the reason brewster is shafted is most likely because he was the WBO champion previously. just and FYI if you didnt know but the other sanctionng bodies dont rank a guy in their top-10 if he is the champion for one of the others. most likely now that brewster isnt the WBO champ all he would have to do is win a fight or two and he probably be in the top5 in at least 2 or 3 of the rankings.

              how is Ray Austin ranked so high? he had 3 draws with good comp, was KO'd by Atila Levin. Only good win is a close SD to Beck. How can he be ranked above Brewster and Brock?
