So If Pacquiao-Khan Happens And Khan Wins...

Let's put aside the whole Mayweather vs McGregor talk for a second and assume that it isn't happening. Let's also assume, however, that Floyd will still get the itch to return for at least one last fight. Should Pacquiao and Khan actually end up happening, and should Khan pull off the win and call out Floyd, do you think that would be enough to secure him the date with Mayweather down the road for his 50th?

I'm past the whole Floyd vs Khan stuff btw, it's just something that came to mind with the repeated talks of Khan and Pac happening.

If Khan were to be beat Pac, Floyd could just say "fight GGG like Brook did or fight Alvarez again, then I'll fight you."

Floyd is too great. This some Matrix shıt right heyah

I didn't understand the appeal of Mayweather vs Khan like 3 years back or whatever so I definitely don't see it this time next year or whatever the timeline would work out to for Manny vs Amir to happen & then a Floyd comeback to come into play.

Khan's whole alleged popularity feels like how twitter accounts buy followers or something like that. It just doesn't really add up to me. I mean he's a good fighter. You don't get where he's gotten if you aren't good, but he's not THAT good or THAT popular that I'm seeing for Mayweather vs Khan to be some kinda event fight or competitive fight.

Khan's overrated with speed. The only reason it looked good for some was because how the opponent reacted...or while it lasted. With Nelo, those rubber mitts where eventually missing. Lara would easily tilt back on incoming offensive combos and then sniper him out.

Khan's hand speed and general quickness would have made it an interesting fight. Floyd certainly should have chosen Khan over that bum-ass Andre Berto (although I didn't have a huge problem with him doing so.)

And thats what I'm saying. At best Floyd vs Amir would have been interesting (probably for the 1st 4 rounds/max) & likewise I nor most fans had a huge problem with him fighting Berto over Khan in his last fight. It wouldn't have been a event fight & its no missed what might have been moment in boxing history or anything some dummies will try to make it out to be.

There has never been much passion for Khan vs anyone tip top. At least in the US I probably should clarify cuz maybe earlier in his career in the UK or Brook in the UK now there is. He doesn't suck, but he's not great either. He's sorta just a very good fighter who's won & lost all the fights he was supposed to win or lose for the most part although he has lost a couple fights he was supposed to win that has lowered his value in most peoples minds.

So do you agree or disagree that Khan would have made a better choice of an opponent than Berto? Khan is more accomplished than Berto, was on a five-fight win streak, and was someone the fans actually wanted to see face Floyd. If you'll recall, Floyd held a poll somewhere on the internet where he asked fans who they wanted to see him fight next and despite Khan winning the poll, he chose Maidana. A guy Khan had already beaten.

Would be hilarious if he did. It'd be boxing's equivalent of a gatekeeper like Michael Bisping being able to brag that he beat two of MMA's GOATS in Anderson Silva and GSP (if he does, in fact, defeat GSP.) It would burn people's ass for so long.
