Ward held like a ***** last time. If kenny bayloss is ref this time Kov is in trouble. bayloss has zero integrity and has helped floyd gsin advantages and always seems to favor the black fighter. Its like boxing welfare today for black fighters. They cant compete on the level its pathetic.

i can guarantee you there will be a ref that will allow ward to hold, bend below the waist, headbutt, lowblow etc...can you name a big fight where the ref actually enforced the rules in a meaningful way? yes henry akwindade will be dq'd for breaking the rules but hes henry akwindade and that fight was meaningless. when the a-side wants to cheat he will be allowed to cheat and everyone will pretend it never happened just like every fight.

not surprising...Abel Sanchez once said that Kovalev was one of those "uncoachable" types who didn't really listen while they were together...and I've seen an interview where JDJ gave a similar sentiment but in a more politically correct manner..

It amazes me how those statements never appeared on this site. A Russian fighter stating all U.S. trainers are "zeroes." Maybe it's "fake news?"

Superb condition and grappling has been Son of K's method since the amateurs. He smothers the other guys offence and in the process, smothers his own. That's why watching a Ward fight is probably just a little bit better than getting a root canal.
Against Kovalev grappling is Son of K's only option , since the alternative is getting his face jabbed off.
