Are people here really believe that Loma wouldn't have won an immediate rematch if one have happened?

Avenge the L at least on paper.

Loma only lost, what -- once in the amateurs? He avenged that loss twice.

If I was Loma I'd be doing everything I possibly could to secure this fight.
When you talk legacy it matters. Modern day hardcores might not give it a lot of credence, but years down the line it will matter. Assuming he has the type of career I suspect he is going to have. Avenging losses matters when you start talking HoF, P4P and ATG status.

In all honesty I agree with Red in that Salido, while maybe he is'nt shot. He certainly not the same guy Loma fought the first time and likely makes easy work of him. But I still think the fight is meaningful in the grand scheme.

        Exactly !!!!
(Perhaps I didn't explain clearly enough)

If a prime Walters waited and lost out then what will happen to a old Salido ???

Look what happened to Walters for rejecting the first offer when Lomachenko went up to 130...
Walters lost Leverage and he's still im his prime... Walters should have added Shine instead of 1 fight (Sosa.. That was no draw, Walter's dominated.) over such a long period of time...

Salido is not in his prime and the only bargaining chip he has is the result of their first fight... He not in any big fights and is out of the public eye...

The longer Salido waits, the less he's going to make... As the public interest buzz diminishes so will Salido's purse... He's got to act soon to get paid while he can...

Are people really giving Salido a chance to "beat" Loma again?

Loma talks like if he´s unbeatable, come on. Mikey Garcia would whip his anus, Berchelt probably too.

the rematch will happen. its too much money for salido to pass up again. Top Rank called his bluff just like they did with walters next time salido will submit. he only hurt himself with inactivity and no payday.
