    As a boxing fan/competitor/trainer whats ur opinion on this guys mitt work?

    For those that dont know him, his name is Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. He is the #1 LHW contender in the UFC. He is being promoted as UFC's BIGGEST puncher. This is only a 20sec twitter clip but its telling IMO. So with that said, what do you as a "boxing enthusiast" think?

    Give a grade.

        I can't get the embed to really work but regarding the work, I don't read much into mitts. You can be focusing on a lot of different things. AJ does have freaky power. His form in the cage isn't great but not terrible either. His prob is that he can't wrestle so he is always hitting a ceiling in the sport.

          Very true, Ive seen guys look like Sugar ray on the mitts but hesitate to throw like that in the ring or cage. I just put this up for ****s and giggles though because of all the MMA vs boxing going around and Rumbles probably the biggest puncher UFC has or is proclaiming to have.

            Yea, I'd probably agree about the biggest puncher thing.

            He can be sloppy as hell....

            But, I guess it doesn't matter so much when you can do this;

            Funniest thing about the guy, he used to cut to 170 and is now 205. It's not like a "he was young doe". He was walking around at 220 and cutting to 170. After missing weight too many times, the UFC booted him but he worked his way back.

              His background is wrestling. He was a national champion.

                    Did you see where his lead leg was at when he threw that uppercut? lol! I dont think to many world class boxers would do that unless their opponent was going out?
