That guy that trains Thurman I think would be a great match. Hes a very underrated trainer IMO since Winky Wright. The only thing is, training at Sea Level in Florida requires A LOT more dedication to conditioning...

I have a buddy from PR who is very supportive of this kid, but warned me that I shouldn't be surprised if his body failed him due to training issues. Claimed he would struggle with injuries his whole career. Had that conversation 2 years ago and it seems like he was spot on. Still surprised about how much he knew about the kid.

Thats it! I wasnt sure if that was the name of Thurmans deceased trainer so I didnt want to post it. But that guy is a VERY good defense/offense/defense trainer and IMO Verdejo needs help transitioning from defense to offense and back.

Would be a good move for sure, but i hope he is taught to respond with more than 1-2 punches, and mix in some 3 4 5 punch combinations. He is always missing opportunites to turn a fight around because he would repeat the same punch patterns and never give his opponent a new look, atleast in his last couple of fights.
