  • Comments Thread For: Gvozdyk (12-0): I'm Ready for Title Shot After Gonzalez Fight

Training alongside Vasyl Lomachenko has inspired Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Watching Lomachenko defeat top opposition and establish himself as one of the best boxers in the world, all with less than 10 professional fights on his record, has given Gvozdyk confidence that he, too, can win a world title very early in his professional career. In fact, if he conquers Cuban contender Yunieski Gonzalez on Saturday night, the unbeaten light heavyweight wants a world title shot in his following fight.

The usa has dreadful cowardly fighters and East European fighters took over this era. All the usa fighters are protected but these Ukrainians are showing the world they are the best winning early inntheir careers unlike usa fighters.

When I compare this young man's resume to Beterbiev, Alvarez, Fonfara, Browne, Smith Jr., and Cleverly, I can't see how he gets a title shot after Gonzalez. He's got dues to pay! Then again, Stevenson is fighting Sean Monaghan! 175 is starting to look like 154! That's a good thing!

WBC will hopefully order Gvozdyk vs Smith for a shot at Stevenson if he gets past Gonzalez
