This fight just feels like the warm up to Mayweather vs McGregor to me so not much excitement for this fight being in countdown mode lol.

And Taylor is a safer comeback fight for Lucas. Taylor hasn't really beaten anyone he wasn't supposed to beat & I think he's lost a couple fights he was supposed to win. So if Lucas can't get by him intact & with a W he shoulda never cameback. That said the last couple years have been tough on Lucas & he isn't getting any younger so idk what good he expects here outside of another paycheck or three before he legit retires & has to get a Margarito eye.

This is NOT a guaranteed win for lucas. Long layoff and nobody knows physically how that eye is. And even if his eye is right we don't know if he has the same hunger. Prime lucas this is a mismatch and short night but this version of lucas who the hell knows. Taylor is not a bum his fight with Broner was dead even heading into the 12th. This is a good comeback fight to gauge where lucas is at and if he's not right physically or mentally I see him getting beat. If he wins and looks good throw him in with a big name later this year.

what worries me about this fight is that lucas will start training with diaz this monday. only 3 weeks if i'm not mistaken. and here he has been training with his father, not with barrera anymore. i hoped he would travel to the US earlier than this. hope everything turns out good.

Seems like just yesterday Matthysse was the darling of NSB. He was gonna take over, knock people out, etc etc, IMO the most overrated guy ever.
