Damn. Yeah if you look at the buzz, how fast tickets sold, fight will be in movie theaters they selling 75 for closed circuit, the mexican TV money canelo doesn't even need to sell more ppvs then a GGG fight to make more money then a GGG fight. Because he is taking such a large percent of the money against Chavez. After they pay chavez his cut all the rest goes directly to golden boy and canelo pockets. GGG was offered twice as much as chavez for a fight that arguably does the same or slightly better but DOESN'T do double. So it could sell more but doesn't guarantee canelo more if he's paying extra money to GGG.

What is clear is GGG is a phuking idiot for turning down offers and pricing himself out. When the numbers and money comes in for this fight if GGG don't take the offer BEFORE that the leverage canelo has goes up and GGG offer will go down.

Impressive. GGG keeps staying the B-side.

GGG took a pass on $15 + million. His stock has gone down and not likely to go back up anytime soon. Assuming Canelo continues to win, GGG might be looking at a $7 million offer from GB to fight Canelo on Cinco de Mayo weekend of 2018. That is still more that double what he will make in any single fight between now and then. K2 miscalculated the market for GGG. As they say in Texas, they were "too smart by half."
