I don't think people are truly appreciating what a quite brilliant year it has been and will continue to be for boxing.

I mean, we have had some seriously brilliant match-ups already this year, we have only just hit April, and we STILL have this to come:

Yeah, I am su****ious myself when things seem to be going well in boxing.

However, as the fans continue to bicker amongst themselves over the most ridiculous things, I think it's good if we all take a step back and realise that it's been a tremendous year.

Whether this trend is an outlier or the new norm......I'm likely on the su****ious, cynical side as to it continue.

But c'mon, man. What a brilliant year.

Much, much better than last year

The first quarter of this year alone matches what happened all of last year. The only significant fight last year or the best fight that people were waiting for last year was Kovalev vs Ward. Yeah, this year has been great.


2015 was pretty good too. Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Cotto vs Canelo, Golovkin vs Lemieux, Thurman vs Guerrero, Jacobs vs Quillin, etc, etc....


Last year was so bad, I didn't really think of it until towards the end of the year and I thought damn, Kovalev vs Ward is the only actual Super Fight of the year.

Maybe Wilder will fight a non pu55y this year since everyone else seems to realize boxing needs good fights to survive.
