Don't make it seem like Jay was the man in charge...he had to report directly to LA Reid and LA Reid took over as CEO when Jay left instead of replacing him...don't make it seem like Jay was the head honcho at Def Jam when Def Jam owns 50% of Roc-A-Fella Records...that's why he left and started Roc Nation...he said "ok, you can have Roc-A-Fella and Nas" I'm leaving to start my own **** again...he looked out for Nas like he always did despite their beef...it was always a mutual respect...'til this day...if somebody gets really embarrassed verbally, etc...people yell "Ether"...'Til this day Nas won't perform that song because of the powerful effect it has negatively and otherwise...also Jay got Nas a 10 Million Dollar Record Deal with Def Jam...an artist would be hard pressed to get that in today's musical climate...so who really won the war?
