Sorry its actually 10 mil they owe him source is FatDan. http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...kirkland-texas
And paired revenues have **** to do with what is owed to 1 fighter and how much a event cost to put together. Cotto's contract was a joint venture with Cotto promotions. But the fighter miguel and the promoter miguel were separated in that contract. He is still owed a massive amount of money that Roc Nation is probably never going to break even on.
Not to mention Roc Nation Sports are the worst at promoting boxing events.
Miguel Cotto's next fight is going to New York City, not all that removed from Puerto Rican Day parade (which is going to attract a sizable gate), and HBO is going to put up a sizable TV rights fee to host one of the biggest stars actively competing in the sport.
Whether they make up the money or not (the Cotto-Alvarez fight, and Alvarez forking over most of the front-end money to not fight in NYC, likely covered a significant chunk of the money owed on the boxing part of their deal with Miguel Cotto Promotions), Roc Nation is now at the table, as a viable boxing promotional entity, with the sport's top fighter under their banner, and prospects starting to show some merit.Comment

Yes, it will but that was Ward's dream, so to even have a shot, he's likely going to need to pull a Roy Jones Jr and bulk up that ~20lbs (to give himself a chance to compete) if he ever even gets the opportunity.
Roy Jones was in the 190s when he fought John Ruiz (a rugged and tough heavyweight, but a man who was slow and only really got up into the high 220s); Roy saw the right pick and took it.
Ward's not going to fight Klitschko or Wilder or Joshua, or any of the giants for that matter, but if a smaller guy picks off one of the belts, Ward might take the shotComment
