Nope. They can be knocked loose by blows pretty easily. It's definitely not an advantage and puts a shelf life on a fighter.
I wish this sport did not leave someone in a condition to where they have to have metal in their face. It's a sad situation - even if it is what it is.

As long as its not adamantium and he doesnt grows claws, I doubt he has any advantage. Id probably think its a mental disadvantage.
