That Showtime affiliated Mark Krigeil(?) guy is good too.

But I think just some Real Sports type show with a boxing focus would do well. Show some in depth quality features on guys, show some heartfelt stories in the sport & get into some controversial topic ever now & again. And thats what I thought Lampley's show was gonna be like.
I like the Real Sports idea. I agree it seems the quality of boxing writer has disintegrated significantly as you hint at in your 1st paragraph which probably would make it suck.

I just want to see the sport have a show like MMA on Fox sports. I haven't watched it alot but when I do the ex MMA guys and the reporters do a great job. Its not just a shill show.

Maybe we should get a boxing show and pitch it to the networks.

Exactly! And don't forget they were trying to do Cotto/Kirkland on PPV as well.

HBO has no clue what they are doing anymore.

I mean what the hell were they THINKING putting

        Francisco Vargas vs. Miguel Berchelt
        Takashi Miura vs. Miguel Roman

        against

Carl Frampton vs. Leo Santa Cruz
        Dejan Zlaticanin vs. Mikey Garcia

????? No SHT you numbers are going to SUK!

Blame Mayweather-Pacquiao; the biggest boner-kill in recent boxing memory. An absolute boner-kill for over 4 million viewers that were itching to hit that 6 year tease.

No matter who you rooted for, you got to admit it did NOT live up to the hype.

It was a great podcast. This write up doesn't do it justice. If I get time later imma cut up the good parts and post it.

The crazy part about HBO is that the fights they air that are not PPVs (Vargas vs. Salido) are better than the PPVs!
