It's a mismatch, but not a cherrypick.
is Sosa a cherry pick?

I don't think it is.. Sosa should have a legit L against Walters but he is top 5-10 at the weight.. I don't expect Loma to blast him out of their so easily and my feeling is that it will go all 12..Comment

Apparently lomachencho was having a hard time securing a fight from others at the weight. Sosa stepped up, so props to him. Dare to be great.I don't think there's a lot of solid guys begging to fight Loma so this isn't going to raise a lot of eyebrows. Sosa should have an L to Walters, no doubt. But, considering that Loma just fought two good opponents, there's nothing to get worked up over here. If nothing else, Sosa looks tough and won't be pulling a Walters.Comment

I believe it. I think Mikey Garcia is the only guy I've seen who legitimately wants a piece, but that's more a matter of if and when. I'm surprised that Mikey is even making 135 still. Hope these two will cross paths before the opportunity passes.Comment

It looks like it's heading that way. We'll see if Mikey hangs around or goes up. The questions if he has Crawford at 140 or lomachencho at 135, does he pick the guy he has the size advantage against? I don't think Garcia can beat Crawford imo.Comment

It's a tribute to how good Loma is that in only his 9th pro fight (or 15th if you let some tell it) a debate is on about the quality of a guy who has twice as many pro fights and is a current beltholder.
For almost anyone else with 9 pro fights it would be a definite step up and maybe too much too soon.
With Loma, he is favored and heavily.
This guy is no pushover.
Has a draw with Walters prior to the Fortuna KO and unlike Walters he hasn't been sitting over a year.
A decent test for Loma.Comment
