He doesn't want to lose, because without the title he loses money. I'm saying that he gives the impression that he doesn't really believe he can win. Apart from saying two years ago outright that he couldn't win, he now says he's banking on Golovkins age and might get knocked out. So no, since he's never talked that way about anyone else I think he has serious doubts that he can win. He probably would prefer Canelo or Eubank both, who would be good earners. But let's face it, if he really wants the fight, why is he talking like he's got one foot out the door, saying he ain't hanging around, tweeting he's moving on while he's own promoter says nothing has been decided. Whatever way you frame it he doesnt sound confident and he sounds negative about the fight happening. What I objected to was you telling me I think him or Jacobs was afraid because I've never said that. We all know what afraid means, it infers a fighters a coward. That word get dropped alot around here. Not by me. And I sure don't know where you got the idea of said anything negative about Jacobs, which you stated I did. I've never said he's ducking, and never said anything negative about him at all.

GGG did it recently for Canelo negotiations, stating they missed out on fighting 4 times last year because of it, and are not hanging around this time. Does that mean GGG doesn't really want to fight Canelo?
Of course not. They are trying to force his hand.
It's obvious GGG wants to collect the other belt but really, wants to fight Canelo on September. After what Oscar came out and said last week, they don't want any excuses.
I think GGG would fight them both, but Oscar is looking for a way out.
Saunders is trying to force the issue.
Why would he not want to fight him? Payday of a lifetime and no-one expects him to win! He can come back and have just as good a career as before.
It's a no-lose situation for Saunders. (Except obviously, he'd lose the fight)Comment

Setting deadlines is nothing new. GGG did it. Canelo did it. Pacquiao did it. Mayweather did it.

You have to look at it in perspective. All along he's said he didn't think he could win.Now he says the biggest factor in his confidence is that Golovkin has turned 35.Then he says the obligatory I'll fight him anytime but if it's not sorted within the week I'm moving on. This is while he has nowhere to move on to, his career has stalled badly and he's winning controversial decisions to unknowns in lesuire centers. What's with the false deadlines? Everything about him, even his manner, the whole "yeah maybe I'll get destroyed" thing in the IFL interview says he doesn't really want it.Comment

He doesn't sound too keen,is that why he held a press conference to say that gggs ducking him? Or does ggg holding a press conference to announce that he doesn't care what fans think or want, that hes NEVER going to rematch jacobs or face charlo but will fight bob the builder instead sound like jacobs is ducking him? How about him wanting to unify the belts in kazakistan where if he loses hell still get the win for sure, after having gotten the win vs jacobs where many say he lost? That just reeks of confidence to you doesnt it?Comment

There's no way Saunders gets out of this without losing any of the face he has left in boxing. Billy Joe get ready for the pain because it's coming your way in June. Time to put your big boy pants on and get in there with Golovkin. Although it will be tough to keep them up when you hand over your beltComment

Actually I didn't change my "argument". But I will play.
1. When a person concludes that a fighters posture in negotiations is that "he doesn't want it", what could that possibly mean if money isn't a factor? In general, do fighters hesitate to beat up other fighters for good money?
2. What makes what BJS said then more truthful than what he has said recently? Is it possible that his confidence has grown based on recent Golovkin fights?
What's your "argument" or are you just here to support bluepete?
You avoided the first point where you could've quoted him saying that everyone or anyone was scared of Golovkin. Again you didn't do it. That's all mate.
Agree that his confidence most likely could've grown since ggg's less than stellar performances of late, but it doesn't change the fact he's on record saying GGG would beat him and Eubank on the same night. I can get the video for you if you want.Comment
