I know some have a hard time saying it but it's Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Yeah pretty much lol. There are a few guys who can rival him like Ray Leonard, Whitaker, and Ray Robinson but for me Floyd Mayweather is the best all around.

Then became famous and successful , ditched his trainers, started partying and basically threw his career away. He was never the same after that. In his prime though he is one of the scariest fighters of all time. A prime dedicated tyson would have knocked douglas out cold.

I'm his prime? Tyson? The baddest-definitely the most skilled- no way. He was a bull dozer. And I'm sure his personal problems affected his career. But unfortunately we can't play the game of what ifs because that wouldn't be fair.

you forgot mentally weak, poor stamina, poor adaptive abilities. these are all boxing attributes too so if you add it up he wasn't as "skilled" as you claim

Mayweather is the best I've seen but I haven't studied a lot of older fighters.
