Shame about the injuries at the end of his career, even though he had a great career, i always thought he could of gone on to greater things.

I dont see this going well for him however...someone like badou jack maybe? that's one he could win.

surely he would have to compete at light heavy?

I like Kessler but I'm not happy to see this. He looked bad near the end and I can't imagine a few years of inactivity is going to help.

The rematch with Froch was close imo, I didn't like the 9 rounds to 3 scorecard or the 8 rounds to 4. I thought it was either a draw or 7-5 either way. Kessler still had it after that fight. It's too bad, he's coming back now at 38, I think it's gonna go down as yet another very common failure of a return. It's rare to see these returns have any significant success.

froch won that fight easily. kessler has no claim to winning that fight.

He has a chance if he can still make 168. It's not a great division at the moment and badou Jack moving up only makes it easier. 175 wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion.

There were at least 7 close rounds in that fight, with Froch clearly winning the 5 others. 3 of the 7 close one's were definitely Kessler's, the other 4 it was up to if you like Kessler's accuracy over Froch's lower accuracy but more activity.

Fight was in England, Froch had the favorable scorecards, it was a while ago, so people may go look at boxrec and compubox and just forget that it was competitive and skip rewatching the fight. I know it was a competitive fight with lots of close rounds that people didn't even know who to give it to, some were just giving it to Froch because of more activity.
