  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: If Ward Returns To 168 - Fight Can Happen!

A few days ago, trainer Virgil Hunter revealed that his star fighter - IBF, WBA, WBO light heavyweight champion Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) - was still capable of getting down to the super middleweight limit of 168. Ward officially moved up to the light heavyweight limit of 175 in early 2016, but hasn't been down to 168 since November of 2013. Since then he's weighed between 171 to 175.

To avoid Kovalev, I could see potential. Everyone whines about the rehydration clause, but look at it like that girl you wanted to **** in her prime...you want to hit that at 21...not 51. Weight is always a factor.

No need for ggg team to even mention this fight cuz it's never happening. Bjs now then nelo prob ramirez after then a rematch with jacobs could prob take 2 years. I can see them entertaining all of those fights before a Ward fight

No real desire to see this .After the G. struggled with Jacobs a large middleweight I can imagine what a maul of a fight this would be.Ward is too big.
