Why do people expect prospects to be beating top competition and winning titles so ea

as the title says people expect guys in their 10th-15th fight to be world champion or fighting the very best guys

Looking historically it's round the 20 fight mark (at the lower end) that most get to that level of competition, do people not understand that they need to build up to the top tier of the division?

I'm not defending these guys who are 30+ fights in and yet to fight a live opponent but give them some time jeez

I think while usually boxers need 20 odd fights &/or 3-6yrs in the pro game to get to your first title based on looking at most of the top 20 guys in the sport right now that it still is a relative case by case thing overall. And I think most people feel like many guys with 200, 300 or more amateur fights & an Olympic games or two under their belt & maybe even some World Series of Boxing basically semi-pro fights on their resume they can be moved a tad bit faster than they've been moved.

Several guys are proving this these days & I think its a trend that will continue cuz ultimately people wanna see competitive fights & disturbingly the best prospects in the sport aren't put into a competitive fight til their 3rd to 5th year as a pro faaaaaaaar too often. I mean I'm gonna die one f#cking day boxing powers that be, I don't wanna wait half a decade to see the "next big boxing star" in with a live body. I think many fans feel similar & they are being more vocal about it.
