Nah, Adonis ducked out of the Kovalev fight in 2013, and at that time iwt would of been a career pay day. Kovalev has no control over purse bids, so I can't speak on that- that's his promoters job. However, I will say that those purse bids do not matter because Adonis literally ran from HBO to Haymon to avoid Kovalev in 2013 when the fight was all but set, it as a well-known event back then. They should of fought already. He didn't want that work.

Did Kovalev's team pull out of a purse bid later? Maybe, I dunno, but Kovalev already had the W over Adonis. Adonis gave up the loss to Kovalev after the 2013 fiasco (unofficially) in a lot of people's book.

the emails are out there about 2013..it was not a purse..it was a 3 fight deal that hbo refused bc they didnt want to pay him and extra 300k....

the "career payday" was the purse bid that kovalev pulled out of TWICE..that is where haymon was rumored to be dropping some of that post maypac money at the tune of 10 million 50-50 for each guy

well i'll ask you now...if joe smith asked for a rematch if he lost to adonis what would u say about that if adonis and his ppl said no..and joe smith didnt more off his position..

and u're right they have the same reach..lara's just shorter by maybe 3 4 inches...that makes a difference

they rescheduled the bid and they pulled out the bid again after that fight...

rumor was that haymon was putting up big money for even the first one..this is why kathy pulled out...go look at the other bid that he dropped funds on...he wasnt losing any bids around that time.

they would not work with showtime...showtime has an option on adonis just like hbo had an option on kov...adonis couldnt sign with hbo today if he wanted to without speaking with showtime...it's calle da right of first refusal....
