As BoxingScene.com first reported earlier today, undefeated heavyweight puncher Luis Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs) of Cuba has signed on with powerful adviser Al Haymon. Ortiz, who turns 38 today, is being positioned to make his debut as a Haymon fighter on April 22nd at the Barclays Center. Wtf. This cat is with GBP fighting Jennings, who's at least a legit top 10ish, top 15ish guy & then he goes to Hearn & fights a bs guy or two, I can't remember if it was only one or not, & now he's with Haymon & fighting a bs guy. Throw the guy in with someone decent ffs. I'm critical of him, but f#ck the guy isn't untalented & is approaching top 5 oldest HW title holder in history age (I mean assuming you think he's not actually 45 years old like the smart money is on).
