is the winner of Spence brook really top dog at 147??

i would still have the winner behind Pacquiao and thurman.

how would you rank the winner of spence brook not only at 147 but pound for pound??

pacquiao resume is head n shoulders above everybody at 147 and with wins over prime porter and prime garcia Thurman is #2.

    agree??

No, still they would have to face Thurman and Pacquiao.

How can I rate them before I see the fight? Barring a draw there will be a winner. He may just barely win and look average winning. The winner might score a n impressive KO and look great. I expect Spence to look great and KO Brook. I would then rate Spence as the best welterweight and top 5 pound for pound. If I am wrong and Brook wins then I would probably rate Thurman, Brook and Pacquiao about the same.

I wouldn't disagree with anyone who thinks this if we're talking about a complete annihilation one way or another.

Yeah if the winner completely destroys or dominates the other guy then you could make an argument. I think Thurman has earned the right to be the number 1 guy seeing as Pacquaio is more part time and clearly on his way out.

            I have it;

Pacquia with 3 wins & 1 lost with current top 10 Welters

Thurman with 2 wins with current top 10 Welters

Brooks wit 1 win with current top 10 welters

The case can be made that Thurman has beaten two & he unified the belts.

If Brooks beat Spence then he would even with Thurman with 2 wins against current top 10 Welters

If Spence beats Brooks he would still be behind Thurman cause that would be his first win against a current top 10 Welter.

            There you have my 2cents.

I'd love to disagree, but I don't think with the current look of 147 you can say there is a #1 guy when Manny, Thurman or Brook haven beaten each other or been beaten. You can definitely feel like Manny, Thurman or Brook are the #1 guy & have an argument for that opinion, but the "Champion" at 147 is vacant til we see a fight or two at the tip top of the division & Brook vs Spence isn't it.

I would say if the Brook vs Spence winner fights Manny or Thurman there is an argument to had that that winner is the champion at 147, but I think I'd still feel like that winner would need to fight the guy left out to for sure say who's the man at welterweight.

                  #1 Pacquaio
#2 Brook-Spence winner (which is Brook by UD)
                  #3 Thurman

There you have it. Pac still the top dog to beat at 147.

The winner of Brook-Spence will fight Keith Thurman, to determine the top dog at 147lbs.
