I think Pacman would be a slight favourite in this one (something like 55-45), even at this stage of his career. Both guys are very athletic and explosive, have good handspeed and quick feet, but I think Pacman has a slight edge in every aspect, being the smaller man. Thurman has the advantage in punching power, size and youth.

Thurman's advantage in being the younger man, along with great boxing skills, ring IQ and punching power would be very hard to overcome, but the old dog might have one last great fight in him.

Exactly bro... Not sure why either. "One Time" is the man right now at 147lbs.

Beside the brutal KO, Marquez isn't really known as puncher so there's no reason to avoid him if his team think that was just fluke.

We've seen this from Roach all the time. He'll throw out a name here and there knowing there's no real plan of making the fight.
Marquez won't fight him no matter how much money is offered, even $100M, which tells us that he is afraid of VADA testing and knows he got lucky last time out. Pacquiao being the warrior he is wanted a rematch since the KO loss, but Roidez will have to submit to the more thorough and telling VADA testing so he will take his tainted win and run with hit.

Crawford is not a draw, and while Jeff Horn is not a draw in the U.S. he is a huge draw with Pac in Australia. They can put 50K asses in seats plus whatever is guaranteed to Manny. HBO won't pay Pac or Crawford enough for this fight and a PPV in the U.S. is a lot less lucrative than fighting a #2 ranked opponent in his home country. This is the business side of boxing in the 21st century.

they never did jump thru hoops before to get marquez so what are you talking about?.

point is that they still want that 5th fight, when do you ever hear manny call out a fighter that he wants to fight? NEVER! except for marquez. he wants that 5th fight with the same guy that knocked him out and made him afraid of punchers.

To be fair Marquez 3&4 are considered cherry pics gone wrong by the vast majority of the boxing public. The protection didn't start until PAC became a star

so you're saying pac became a star after marquez 3,4? wtf?? LOL.

how can it be consider a cherry pick when yall said marquez won the 1,2 fight as well?? LOL!! make up yall minds.

a cherry pick means the fighter has zero chance. marquez gave manny hell in fight 1 and 2.

No. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. The protection started when he became a PPV star.....now on to Marquez. While Marquez 1&2 where both very competitive match ups with opinions swaying either way to which one actually won, Marquez 3 happened years after the second.Marquez was older and fighting PAC at welterweight. pac was a HUGE betting favorite And the public was STUNNED at the outcome of the fight. The were stunned because no one expected this older heavier Marquez to be competitive hence te huge betting odds. Sorry I should have explained better but I ******ly assumed any boxing fan would already know this as the truth. Basic knowledge a novice knew at the Time. Again my apologies for giving you more credit then I you deserved. "LOL"

and when did he became a ppv star? after dela hoya? because he fought cotto, and margarito after dela hoya, and he could have lost in either of those 2 fights. he also fought marquez 3 and then 4. so where is this protection you're speaking of? so you're saying they cherry pick marquez because they thought marquez is old now? well, after the 3rd fight, why did they "cherry pick" marquez again then? LOL
